EMV Updates - March 2018

New EMV mandates have also been released and require terminal and POS updates. The required EMV updates must be completed by June 1, 2018 to remain compliant in accordance with the Card Brand and EMVco standards.

Next steps you will need to take to complete updates:

POS/Computer Systems

Most POS terminals or web-based applications can be updated by simply updating or downloading new software. Contact your software provider as soon as possible to ensure that your POS or application the latest CAPK methodology.


If you are using Merchant Passport, Property Payments or B2B powered by International Bancard no software updates will be required.


  • Dejavoo: For Dejavoo terminals that process payments through an internet connection or accepts EMV payments (regardless of connection type), a solution will be available within the next 30 days. Our technical support team will contact you to assist you with these very important updates.

  • Verifone: A new download is available now. Our Technical support team will contact you shortly to assist with the download. You can also reach out to our team at 800.827.4880 x3 to complete the update immediately.
