4/23/2018- EMV and Web-Based System Updates and Enhancements - If your merchant account has been identified as sending transactions that do not meet the SHA-2 / Ciphers requirements, please take required immediate action and identify what next steps apply to you.
3/7/2018- SHA-1 SSL Certificates & Associated Ciphers - The end of SHA-1 SSL certificates and associated Cipher suites is quickly approaching. An upgrade to SHA-2 SSL certificates and Ciphers before June 1, 2018 is necessary to maintain proper security. Failure to upgrade to SHA-2 SSL certificates and Ciphers in a timely manner will result in the inability to process payments.
3/7/2018- EMV Updates - New EMV mandates have also been released and require terminal and POS updates. The required EMV updates must be completed by June 1, 2018 to remain compliant in accordance with the Card Brand and EMVco standards.
10/14/2016: New Mastercard BIN range mandate - Effective October 14, 2016, Mastercard introduced a new series of card Numbers that begin with a “2”. The new “2” series range will be processed the same as the existing Mastercard(s) starting with a “5”. Support of the new card range is mandatory for all clients.
Great news for clients using Merchant Passport Premium or Dejavoo terminals, you already have the ability to accept the new card range and no action is needed.
